Skardu Valley
The Skardu Valley lies in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan's northern region along the Indus River and at its junction with Shigar River. Spanning approximately 10 kilometers wide by 40 km long, this valley is situated between towering Karakoram and Himalayas ranges. The main town of Baltistan on Indus's wide bank houses Skardu, which is also the largest district within Gilgit-Baltistan region after being parted from Northern Areas.
