The Muslim Bagh Ophiolitic Complex, situated within Killa Saifullah District in Balochistan province of Pakistan, spans approximately 1000 square kilometers and is best explored during the months of March to October when weather conditions are favorable for a four-wheel drive journey. This geological formation represents an ancient fragment from Neo-Tethyan ocean's crustal mantle - making it one of the largest, most exposed ophiolite complexes globally and highly valuable in studying Earth’s uppermost layers (mantle & oceanic crust). The site is particularly significant for geologists due to its high chromium content deposits.
