Kharfaq Lake resides in Ghanche District, Gilgit-Baltistan and is situated within the towering Karakoram mountain range of Pakistan's northern regions. The lake can be reached exclusively via trekking routes due to its remote location at high altitude levels. The best time for visiting Kharfaq Lake spans from June through September, with July being particularly favorable when snowmelt causes the water level in the scenic body of water to peak mid-month after a gradual rise that begins as early May. In winter months, however, heavy snows blanket over and cover this scenic lake entirely.
