The Khanate of Kalat, established in the year 1666 and also recognized as the Brahui Confederacy, is a historical entity situated within modern-day Kalat region of Balochistan Province in Pakistan. This ancient state was erected due to growing concerns over Mughal expansion into this territory during that era. The architectural marvels found here are primarily represented by structures typical of both the Brahui and Baluch cultures, with a known example being the traditional citadel style buildings within Kalat city itself - known as 'Kala Tenga'.
