Hunza River
Located within Pakistan's Gilgit–Baltistan region, specifically in its district of Hunza, lies a significant waterway known as the Hunza River. This principal river is formed by two gorges – Chapursan and Khunjerab nalas - fed from glaciers high above it. During May through September, visitors can access this scenic body of flowing waters with relative ease due to its road-accessible location along the Karakoram Highway (KKH). The river's best vantage points are found at Altit Fort or any one of several suspension bridges dotting Upper Hunza.

While formal restaurants are rare directly on the banks, several local cafes in nearby towns like Karimabad and Aliabad offer terraces overlooking the river. Small seasonal stalls near the main bridges often sell local snacks and tea.
Most travelers utilize the designated pull-off areas along the Karakoram Highway to view the river safely. For closer access, small gravel parking spots are available near the old Ganish bridge.
